Zlatan Ellek has been unanimously elected president of the new Serbian List in Kosovo. Ellek is the task director of the Clinical Hospital Centre in Northern Mitrovica.
He was elected during an open vote at the Serbian List Assembly session held Tuesday in North Mitrovica, where the Serbian List also chose the new chairmanship. The leader of the Serbian List so far was Goran Rakiq.
Meanwhile, young speakers of the Serbian List have been elected Dragisa Milovic, deputy director of the hospital in northern Mitrovica, Igor Zaporozhac, head of the Serb parallel municipality in northern Mitrovica, Tanja Vujovic, dean of the Economic Faculty, and Dragana Antonijevic, former commander in the Kosovo Assembly, and director of the Students Centre in Northern Mitrovica.
Who is Zlatan Ellek?
In May 2020, the government of Serbia named Zlatan Elek the task of director of the Clinical Hospital Centre in North Mitrovica. This institution, like other health institutions in Kosovo's inhabited Serb environments, works in the Serbian system.
Meanwhile, Elek attended gatherings organised by the Serbian List, including that of November 6, 2022, a day after Serbs left Kosovo institutions in the north.
He later in his speech said that “we survived thanks to the support of our leadership, primarily President Aleksandar Vuciq”.
Recently, he has stressed that because of Kurti's <x0-terror”, health institutions in Serb areas in Kosovo are threatened by “humanitarian disaster”.
He has said Kosovo authorities do not allow the import of drugs and medical materials, which the Kosovo Ministry of Health has denied. /rel
