Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, said that against Milan Radojic, Serbian authorities will file an indictment after the investigation is complete.
The prosecutor is following him for serious crimes, which he himself has admitted. The investigation will continue and then an indictment will arise. This will show where money and illegal weapons came from. The discovery of this is our international obligation, and this will become”, Vuciq said on October 11th, during a visit to a medical institute in Serbia.
He added that military and civilian authorities are investigating the circumstances of the event in Banjska and that the public will be informed of the results of the investigation.
On 24 September, an armed group of Serbs attacked Kosovo police in Zvecan Banjska, killing Sergeant Africa Bulnjak. Three attackers were also killed during the clashes.
The responsibility for organising the attack was taken by Milan Radoic, former deputy chairman of the Serbian List, the main party of Serbs in Kosovo that has the backing of official Belgrade.
Kosovo has accused Serbia of attacking, but Belgrade has denied having a finger on it. Institutions in Kosovo and Serbia are conducting separate investigations into the event.
Responding to journalists' questions, Vucic confirmed that representatives of the QUINT states will arrive in Serbia on 21 October.
In ten days, the European Union's representative for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak, representatives of governments in the United States, France, Germany and Italy's prime minister, but Gabriel Escobar, Emmanuel Bonn, Jens Plotner and Flanceso Talo will stay in Belgrade.
It is expected that the topic of the meeting in Belgrade will be Serbia's harmonisation with EU foreign policy and imposing sanctions on Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine, and implementation of the agreement towards normalisation that Kosovo and Serbia achieved earlier this year.
