European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen has arrived in Skopje, from which she will start visiting Western Balkan countries.
Von der Leeyen was hosted at Skopje Airport by Bojan Maricic, deputy prime minister for European Affairs, who said Von der Leyen's visit is a positive signal and comes at the right moment for the country's Euro-integration future.
European Commission President Stevo Pendarovski held a meeting with Macedonia's president tonight.
“With European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, we discussed the next phases of negotiations after the review process was completed and the dynamics of implementing reforms”, Pendarovski wrote after the meeting.
Ursula von der Leenen's visit to Skopje will continue tomorrow with Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski.
