After all this situation, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his party are not making a sound as they were alarmed in 2020 for Bulqiza miners in Tirana.
VV in 2020 supported Bulqiza miners, ignoring Trepca miners in 2023
Three years ago in Albania, Bulqiza miners had protested, demanding secure and dignified work.
The Vetevendosje Movement had also supported this protest, saying that “mine rights violations are violations over all Albanians”.
“Movement Centre IN Albania, it supports the demands of Bulqiza miners, as well as the protest that “Sindition of the United Miners of Bulqiza” organises this Sunday, January 26th, in Tirana at 11:00 at the Ministry of Finance and Economy at the “Country Witness”, said among other things in Vetevendosje's post.
While now while Trepca miners have almost the same requests, they are ignored by the ruling Vetevendosje party.
Today, Trepca's manager has even sponsored union chairman Ibrahim Jonuzi and four other employees, arguing that “have misused the right to strike by endangering the lives and health of workers.
