German Chancellor Scholz is saying that the countries of the Western Balkans are supposed to join them years ago.
I am convinced that it is wrong that after we met in Thessaloniki 20 years ago the Western Balkans have not joined the European Union. Membership should already have been made by Western Balkan countries and we are very committed to enabling the membership of Western Balkan countries. It's all based on merit. They must take the necessary steps. My view is that membership of Western Balkan countries should be done as soon as possible. If you are given a dream, Eupanine must work hard to achieve this target” said Scholz.
Scholz also spoke of recent events in the north, which said he condemned the attack on Banjska and the murder of police officer Africa Bulnjak, and that we do not accept it in any way.
While adding that to become part of the EU, the countries of the Western Balkans must solve problems between themselves. He also stressed that the conflict between Kosovo and Serbia must be permanently resolved.
