The Romanian Defence Ministry has announced that 130 Romanian soldiers have been added to KFOR.
Even 130 Romanian soldiers I have increased KFOR because of the NATO headquarters requirement.
The news has made it known to the Romanian Defence Ministry, which says already the number of Romanian soldiers in Kosovo stands at 210.
Romania's “Army has completed the addition of the contingent participating in the NATO mission in Kosovo, with a total of 130 soldiers”, the Romanian Defence Ministry's report said.
The announcement shows how the decision to increase forces has been made.
The decision to increase Romanian forces has been taken as a result of authorisation by the North Atlantic Council for meeting forces for managing the current situation in the Western Balkans”, said further in the statement.
Romania has assumed, as an ally NATO and the European Union member state will contribute to the military forces and means available to preserve a stable security environment in the Western Balkan region.
Romania currently has 250 soldiers engaged in Bosnia and with the contingent sent to Kosovo today, the number of its soldiers to KFOR stands at 210.
