Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has said that the September 24th terrorist attack on Zvecan Banjska was an act of Serbia's aggression against Kosovo, aimed at annexing the north.
On the second day of her visit to Iowa in the United States of America, Osmani said Kosovo is the result and the biggest story of American foreign policy success.
In a speech to Drake University students, the country's first accused Serbia of wanting to promote war in the region.
We have never characterised these as tensions between Kosovo and Serbia, because we are not attacking anyone, we are in our home and we are under attack. What happened on September 24th was the culmination of a serious act of aggression that Serbia was making the people of Kosovo within our territory, and that day there were a number of terrorist groups that entered Kosovo with large numbers of weapons, military-scale weapons with which they planned to annex the north of Kosovo. Our police have acted very professionally and have prevented the act of aggression since its first few minutes, Osmani said.
In contrast, Osmani said the NATO troops' biggest engagement in Kosovo would make it impossible for armed people to enter the country's territory.
On the other hand, Osmani said Kosovo is the result and the biggest story of American foreign policy success,
During his stay in Iowa, U.S.A., Osman was also hosted by the mayor of Norwalk, Tom Philips, from whom he was honoured with the City Key and the Star of Norwak.
She also had a conversation with the mayors of twinned cities with some of Kosovo's cities, pledging that relations between the cities, schools and businesses of Iowa and Kosovo will continue to deepen, further strengthening and thus making ties between our peoples even more powerful.
Osmani also met the Albanian diaspora in Iowa, where he thanked them for their support of the homeland.
