On the date 02.11,2022 in the media, a video appeared that a nurse who was mistreating an elderly person was hitting and pushing him, while several other nurses were filming and laughing.

The reactions were numerous, from her family as well as from the highest institutions in the country and from various rehabilitation centers.

Janet Nura [the elderly girl] said that four days ago on her visit to the elderly center, she noticed signs of violence on her mother's face but did not believe that the centre's workers could have done so.

There were also protests in some parts of Kosovo so that there would be no more torture in the homes of elders after this.

After all this shocking event, the prosecution announced that suspects have been arrested for mistreating the elderly at the “Orenda” hospital in Pec. But their detention did not last a month, since the three nurses, Aurona Pelaj, Altina Rexhepi and Remzie Red were released.

The Supreme Court has reasoned on the case, with the fact that there is no reason to believe the defendants will eliminate, hide, or change criminal evidence. All three nurses have decided to protect themselves silently by not declaring themselves before the Prosecutor during the day. /Periscope.
