Maloku has thanked EULEX chief Barbano for his visit to the Prosecutorial Council and commended him for his mandate, adding that the prosecutorial system is committed to co-ordination and continued co-operation with this mission to ensure the strengthening of the rule of law in Kosovo, based on the best practices and standards of the EU.
And the chief of EULEX has expressed its thanks for the expectation made and the willingness of the mission leading up to further the support and assistance needed for the prosecutorial system so that it can have common commitment to advancing rule of law in Kosovo.
The “also, during today's meeting, has been discussed that Kosovo's prosecutorial system must remain unscathed to any political interference and to any other intervention either inside or outside the prosecutorial system, in order to properly realise its independent, impartial and transparent mission in all its commitments and in accordance with the legal and constitutional mandate. ”
The two sides agreed to move further on the road forward and to have increased commitment to meet the challenges of carrying out specific missions for increasing targets affecting the empowering of the rule of law in Kosovo.
