Prime Minister Albin Kurti speaking of government commitments over the past two and a half years of electricity security, has said it is national interest.
Kurt wrote on Facebook that energy security is national security.

He wrote on a long Facebook post about his energy governance investments.

But Kurti appears to have “Handed” scandals that have characterised KEK and the now suspended chief chief, Nagip Krasniqi, as well as allegations of obtaining power from the GEN.

“Dimri of 2021 reminded us of the most brutal way energy fragility. Our production capacity is limited. They belong to the past century, and decades have not been invested in their addition. But energy consumption has steadily increased. The difference must be met with energy imports. But import is too expensive. Especially during winter. Especially in the post-indemecim economy and after Russian aggression in Ukraine. These two and a half years of government, we've been methodically working for the long-term solution our country deserves. Initially, we allocated 120m euros to ensure regular electricity supply and to protect citizens and businesses from rising energy prices caused by the energy crisis. Then, we established the foundations for increased production capacity, providing 700m euros in investment in the sector, among them the agreement on batteries worth $27.6m. At the same time, we have promoted lowering current consumption by subsidizing its savings, and increasing efficiency through support measures for electrical and heating equipment. There are over 208 thousand savings families that have benefited from subsidizing energy bills, and 10,000 sosh that have benefited from the subsidisation of the purchase of efficient energy equipment. Meanwhile, 67 public buildings have been renovated for energy efficiency, and work has begun on the implementation of the 80 million central heating project with solar panels, through which we will reduce heating consumption and care for clean environments. Our solution assures us that in the future we will have more production, especially from renewable resources, and less electricity spending. As a result, higher energy security and greater independence from import. Besides energy, technology and innovation form the foundations of the 21st century economy. Our country already has a powerful information and communication technology industry (TIK) and a positive commercial balance. The export of ICT services in 2022 was up 114% compared to the previous year. The government is committed to investing in digital infrastructure, increasing human capacities and innovation ecosystems, which enable further development of the ICT sector in the country. We already have 100% coverage of areas inhabited by broadband Internet. The frequencies for the 5G network have been sealed. Along with development partners, we are in the process of training over 3,500 young people and young people in various ICT areas. We supported training on ICTs and more than 900 others through the vocal system. We opened the Digital Technology Park in Pristina. We are investing eightm euros in infrastructure and development of Prizren's Innovation and Training Park (ITP). The ITP has established the Centre for Digital Excellence, under which the lab for printing and 3D scan was established, the National Network's Research and Education Centre (KREN), as well as the training classes equipped in the TIC field”, it wrote on Facebook.
