Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti began meetings with European leaders in margins at an EU summit in Brussels.
Such meetings are also expected to be held separately by Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.
According to EU spokesman Peter Stano, they are the continuation of the process that began last weekend, when the so-called large “ ” of Western envoys visited Pristina and Belgrade.
The “Ide is for these meetings to be held in the margins of the EU summit, in support of return to dialogue. The EU's message is that we expect both sides -- Serbia and Kosovo -- to return immediately and without obstacles to the obligations that come out of the dialogue, to work immediately for lowering tensions and restarting the” dialogue, Stano said.
Kurti and Vuciq will be received separately from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Mellon.
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell will also attend the meetings, as will European Council President Charles Michel.
Stano said that any meeting between Kurt and Vucciqi, for now, is not planned.
