Albanian MP in Serbia's Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, has reacted after a family in Medvedja was attacked by a group of persons who, at the same time, also sang nationalist songs, writes Periscopi.
Kamberi through a post in his Facebook account has condemned such an act, asking the international community to monitor the security situation in the Presevo Valley.
“We demand that security authorities immediately intervene to maintain order and tranquillity and ensure that Albanian citizens in Medvedja are not exposed to such abuses and horrors”, Kamberi wrote among other things.
His full post:
The Party of Democratic Action flatly condemns acts of violence and intimidation of Ruhan Muharrem's family in Medvedja.
An unknown group has committed acts of vandalism by throwing stones and heavy means toward their home.
We demand that security authorities immediately intervene to maintain order and calm and ensure that Albanian citizens in Medvedja are not exposed to such abuses and horrors.
We also invite the international community to attend the events and monitor the security situation carefully, especially in the Presevo Valley.
