Israel reportedly has shot Lebanese territory in response to the mortar attack from there.

While a spokesman for Israel's Defence Forces said the shooting was carried out in the area of Mount Dov, a section of land claimed by Israel, Lebanon and Syria near the crossroads of the three countries.

Israel, on the other hand, has warned Lebanon's militant movement not to engage in combat, reports the BBC.
