German Ambassador to Kosovo Jorn Rohde's criticism of the opposition for failing to approve international agreements is considered unilateral by Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Mergim Lushtaku. He expressed surprise that similar criticism is not being addressed to position until he adds that despite the adoption of some agreements by the opposition, they have not been implemented.

In a post on the social network X, Rohde wrote that large energy and agricultural projects are being put at risk with the disapproval of international agreements.

In an interview for KosovoPress, Lushtaku says there are over 800m euros in international agreements, which are approved by parliamentary majority and by themselves as opposition. While he points out the same ones are not being implemented and are not being implemented.

It's good that the ambassador has made a review, because we've ever been missed, but surprisingly these criticisms are only for the opposition, they're not about position, which makes me even more surprised. Why do you make me wonder? We know a lot of international agreements that we've voted as opposition, whether we've been credited or not. They are not implemented and not implemented. There are over 800m euros that are actually in international agreements that have been approved by parliamentary majority, even as opposition deputies, and that are not being implemented, are slow and are actually not finding implementation. Similar criticisms had to be given to governments and positions in general. While, we know very well that even when we have given support to international agreements there has been criticism from us and no reflection of”, Lushtaku said.

In the interview for Kosova Press, Lushtaku also spoke of the European Union's stance in Serbia over the September 24th terrorist attack on Zvecan Banjska, saying it is surprising that Serbia has not yet been sanctioned.

Meanwhile, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, are expected to hold separate meetings with four European leaders in Brussels on 26 October.

The European Union confirmed that Kurti and Vuciq have been invited to Brussels in the margins of the European Council summit Thursday.

In this regard, the deputy PDK, Mergim Lushtaku considered that Prime Minister Kurti is taking wrong steps in this direction. He says Kurti is slowly returning to the steps of previous leaders he himself has criticised.

Otherwise, diplomatic sources say the plan is to have separate meetings with the four European leaders whose representatives visited Kosovo and Serbia on 21 October.

According to sources, the plan is for the <x0-four leaders, France's president, Emmanuel Macron, Italy's prime minister, Giorgia Melon, Germany's Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, and EU High Representative Josep Borrell, to have a joint meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in the margins of the EU summit Thursday<1>.
