Days before the summit's summit, the Berlin Process Foreign Affairs Ministers have gathered in Tirana this Friday.
The meeting brings together the ministers of Western Balkan Foreign Affairs, other states participating in the Berlin Process, EU representatives, as well as regional organisations.
At the start of this meeting, Germany's Federal Republic Foreign Affairs Minister Annalena Bayerbock spoke briefly to the media about the latest tensions between Kosovo and Serbia following the September 24th terrorist attack.
Backock said tensions between Kosovo and Serbia jeopardise the Berlin process.
The Tirana meeting is led by Albanian Foreign Minister Igli Hasani. The focus of the meeting will be strengthening the regional dimension in the Berlin Process and the particular importance of this process for the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU.
Another focus is expected to be to reinforce engagement regarding the Common Regional Market, four fundamental freedoms -- the Green Age, the Digital Agency and the EU's Unic Market.
