Otherwise, this requirement for extraordinary session was made by the chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Abelard Tahiri, on behalf of the signatory deputies.
Kosovo's “Police, as one of the most important security institutions in the Republic of Kosovo, whose officials with high self-esteem and responsibility at any time in any situation, are at the best level of office, unfortunately have been discriminated against by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. The fact that, from entering into power (February 5, 2023) of the 08/ L-196 for Salaries in the Public Sector, police officials have been halted from adding to the risk, presents an unfair decision that directly affects their welfare, their families, but also their will and motive in the face of challenging daily work. It has been eight months since the Kosovo Police are not enjoying the additional risk. Since the beginning of the ban on extras, there has been uncertainty and promises held by government officials. Kosovo police are still awaiting the execution of this”, the session requirement reported.
It reportedly is the last time to take immediate measures for the adoption of the early retirement law and payment of health insurance for police officials.
The document also contains the signatures of 33 deputies: The PDK, LDK and AAK Parliamentary Group.
Otherwise, according to the draft resolution, it is said that the Government should be obliged within the 15 days deadline of adoption of the resolution to make the separation of the necessary financial means for paying additional risk to Kosovo Police and the retroactive one from law entry day 08/ L-196 for the Salaries in the Public Sector (for a century months).
It will be obliged the Government to propose the necessary budget- for the new 2024 Tribal Year for coverage of the health insurance payment for all Kosovo police officials from January 2024 and to impose upon the Government within the 60-day deadline of adopting this resolution, to take the initiative for the map, proposal and adoption of the Law on Pre-Sacrifice Pensionment of Police Officials and Inspectors.
And pledge that the Parliamentary Review of the Bill from the 3rd point of this resolution be carried out in accelerated procedure in accordance with the rules of the Parliament's work.
