New details have come to light by the terrorist attack that rocked Ankara on Sunday morning, where one kamikaze blew himself up and another was neutralised by security forces as it raided the Turkish Interior Ministry building.
Turkish media SABAH reports that the two terrorists have stolen the vehicle they used for the attack on the village of Chatalluk in Kayseri province, from veterinarian Mikhail Bozlağan.
According to the chronology of the event, the two terrorists blocked the veterinarian route, killed him by gunning him in the head and then dragged him to a ditch.
Mikhail worked as a veterinarian in the town of Bakırdaı, located seven miles [7 km] from where terrorists were ambushed, and his vehicle was owned by the Veterinary Service and Blegtoria.
Speaking of SABAH, the village's head of Chatalluk, ⇩mail Yıldırım, said the incident occurred at around 20:30 Saturday evening.
“Terrorists stopped veterel Mikhail Bozlağan's vehicle near the village of Avlağa. They killed Mikhail and stole his vehicle, leaving him dead in a ditch on the side of the road. Father found his son's body following the blood trail on the street”, he said.
Yıldırım stated that their village is very close to the Demi Mountains at the border of Adana.
“We searched Mikhail's vehicle in the woods, but we didn't find him. Terrorists walked from the forest area. Our village cameras saw Mikhail's vehicle coming in but it didn't come out. Terrorists went off the road not to be caught by cameras. Our village is a forested and mountainous area at the bottom of the Demi Mountains”, he added.
Meanwhile, as a result of the attack, police officer Erkan Karabaş, who has taken bullets on both legs and his colleague Haliim Reis, as a result of the strike of shells on the chest and right foot.
The attack occurred on the day the Turkish Parliament began work, which would open the new legislative year after a two-and-a-half-month pause. / A2 CNN
