Kosovo has three active cases in international arbitration, while awaiting a decision.
The total of cases our country faces in arbitration is seven, the value of lawsuits with which is approximately 230m euros.
Kosovo's “Republic has so far accepted seven indictments in Tribulals outside Kosovo, from companies or physical persons. The estimated value of all plaintiffs' demands is 229,33,000.00 euros. Of these requests/ indictments, three cases have so far been concluded, of which the state budget has been protected in the amount of 136,33,000.00 euros, (Bender Selmani, Blerim Devolli, lute Credit), while we are awaiting a (1) decision”, is announced by the Ministry of Justice.
The losses of legal battles in International Referee are also estimated to affect foreign investments in the country.
From the Kosovo Economic Oda, these losses convey poor messages to foreign investors.
In Kosovo's representation of the International Referee, according to Anton Noecaj of the Clark Institute, staff capacities at State Lawyers also play a role.
Finally, Kosovo has lost the case to “Cuntur Global”, worth over 20m euros. /tat1/
