Peach has made it known to Kurir that both sides must fulfil all obligations made during the dialogue, and added that one of them is the Association of Serb majority municipalities.
“Both Kosovo and Serbia must meet their obligations made during the dialogue. Association is one of those incomplete elements, but should not prevent the implementation of others”, he said.
He said he expects a comprehensive, final, legally binding agreement for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia “as two neighbouring countries, stressing that both sides have obligation towards their citizens to continue talks and work on practical steps towards normalisation.
The most important thing is that this agreement is acceptable to the citizens of Kosovo and Serbia and brings long-term benefits to them, as well as to the entire region. It is up to the leaders of Serbia and Kosovo to agree to the exact format and content of that Agreement”, the British envoy said, adding to a stable agreement requires “political volunteers and courage”.
