United States
Washington's latest aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounts to $675m. In the 20th American aid package, there are 100 Humvee transporters for the protection of Ukrainian soldiers on the front. High on the weapons list sent to you is also artillery ammunition HIMARS. This data has been published by US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin at the fifth meeting of the so-called Ukrainian Contact Group in early September at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. It is unclear whether Washington is also considering sending short-range missiles ATACMS, which can be triggered by HIMARS systems and have a range of 300 kilometers.
Planned shipments complement the capacity sent in recent months, for example with 36,000 rounds of ammunition for 24 Howitzer artillery devices. The Ukrainian Army has been able to use this artillery from July to prepare for retake of parts occupied by Russia in the northeast and partly south of Ukraine. With these weapons, Russian supply channels and ammunition depots can be effectively hit.
The planned “Winter Park” now includes additional night vision equipment, winter equipment for soldiers and 50 armoured ambulances. In total, the United States has so far sent $5.5 billion in assistance to Ukrainian security forces since the beginning of the Russian invasion on February 24th. “Warwork” in Ukraine is changing, said US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, ahead of representatives of more than 40 allies supporting Ukraine with military equipment, during his recent visit to Ramstein. Many Ukrainian soldiers are still being killed along the front line because of the lack of armoured vehicles. This particularly increases pressure on Germany. Ukraine has been seeking armoured vehicles from Berlin since March, such as tanks “Marder”.
Great Britain
Unlike the United States, the British Defence Ministry has published very little data on weapons sent to Ukraine. As if HAIMRAS of the United States, thought even artillery systems like M270 MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) may have helped Ukraine with recent successes in regaining control in many areas occupied by Russia.
In early June, London announced that it had launched a broad program to train Ukrainian soldiers for these weapons. Exactly how many Ukrainian armed forces have already passed the British training programme. According to the government, there must have been several hundred “s that were trained mainly in artillery systems ) except M LRS, that's for the easiest artillery.
Military analysts assume this training brought the decisive advantage to the Ukayan forces, particularly during the latest shares in northeast Ukraine. At the end of June, in the margins of the NATO summit in Madrid, London announced it was funding the purchase of modern air defence systems, drones and artillery ammunition worth 1 billion pounds (1.15 billion euros) for Ukraine. This brings London's financial support to Ukraine to 3.8 billion pounds (4.4 billion euros) this year.
Germany
Berlin is also reluctant to publish precise figures for remittances to the most modern weapons systems. Ukraine reportedly received an unknown number of radar detection systems “Cobra” by German industry, as well as air protection system I RIS-T SLM. A little more accurate is the Ministry of Defence when it speaks of sending 20 G antiaircraft tanks EPARD, which Berlin actually receives much encouragement from the US and Ukraine.
Ukrainian crews of this antiaircraft tank were trained in Germany during the summer. According to Defence Ministry data, 10 G surrender Other EPARDs are under way. Along with the Netherlands, Germany delivered ten “Panzerhaubiz 2000” and taught Ukrainian soldiers in Germany how to use them. Germany is currently working on a list of military supplies with 28 articles. 22 are attributed to the German industry, so they are not part of Bundeswehr equipment. These include 12 mountain tanks, 16 armoured layers for the BIBER bridge, but 200 trucks, 12 heavy equipment for transport of M1070 Oskosh and 14 other trailer trucks.

To date, there has been no indication that Berlin will supply Ukraine with war tanks from the Bundeswehr reserves, such as the Leopard War Tank 2 / 1 The Chancellor and the Ministry of Defence have so far rejected sending the Marder vehicle, which Kiev has been requesting since early Germany. About 100 Marder are currently parked in Flensburg, in an industrial courtyard. The reserve also has Leopard I tanks, which Kiev requested in the spring. According to the federal government, different equipment worth more than 733m euros has been sent from Germany, from 1 January to 5 September. While in July, Chancellor Scholz has promised other equipment worth more than 500m euros.
Other Countries
Seen by their economic performance, European Union states, Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Lithuania have so far sent both military and civilian aid to Ukraine, mostly. Especially after the beginning of the Russian invasion on February 24. Poland has delivered more than 200 Soviet-made tanks to Kiev. German Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht recently spoke of agreements for the so-called replacement with Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Greece. These countries will receive weapons as replacements from Germany for weapons sent to Ukraine. /dw
