Votes in regions annexed by Russia are being held in four regions of Ukraine: Donnetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporzya.
However, many Western leaders have already claimed that these referenda are illegal.
Speaking of Turkish CNN, Ibrahim Kalin, spokesman from the Turkish presidency, has said the country recognises “state and territorial integrity of the Ukrainian people”
“We do not recognise unilateral referenda, we do not recognise the 2014 Crimea referendum, and our attitude has faced such referenda is clear”, he added.
In the end, the Turkish spokesman said: “We declare that we stand by Ukraine and diplomatic dialogue should begin”. /Periscopi/
