Scholz: Do not accept Russian referendum results in Ukraine

“We will not accept the results of these referenda, which are a fraud, and our support for Ukraine will continue unbecoming”, Olaf Scholz said in a statement to the newspaper Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung, broadcast Klaankosova.tv.
Pro-Russian authorities announced yesterday the dominance of “po” in referenda in Kherson, Zaporizia, Donnetsk and Lugansk, where referenda were held on the issue of joining these regions with the Russian Federation.
Referring to the controversial arms shipment issue in Ukraine, Scholz insisted that Kiev would immediately receive tanks and armoured war vehicles (AVM) designed by Soviets from other NATO nations whose reserves would be completed by Germany. He did not refer to Kiev's urgent request for more advanced German tanks.
“German is supporting Ukraine as much as it can, but at the same time, it is doing everything it can to prevent a direct conflict between NATO and Russia”, Chancellor for Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung said. He insisted on the fact that this is what most Germans want.
