Kosovo can still expect difficult days in electricity supply. This has dropped again from the A3 block system of the thermocentral plant “Kosovo A”. The same went back to function just a few days ago, without being thoroughly controlled, causing tremendous damage.
Democracy. com has learned that this bloc had quickly returned to function without being well controlled, thus increasing the cost of spending, since about 70 thousand liters of oil or over 100,000 euros are needed for one start alone.
A3 block produces 130 MWh, while import of 130 MWh at current prices per 24 hours costs nothing less than about 1m euros.
This means that currently less than 500 MWh are being produced, insufficient to meet the needs of citizens.
Otherwise, September 16th, Democracy.com had reported that it had fallen from the post A3 block of Thermo power plant “Kosovo A”. It was kept secret by KEK.
After the Democracy report.com, KEK was forced to accept and give a half explanation, hiding it since midnight when the A3 bloc was due to halt, which had been scheduled to reduce electricity, which had been confirmed since tomorrow.
Kosovo Energy Corps reports the A-3 unit is at work but is scheduled for a 4-5-day halt. In this regard, The KEK has taken all necessary measures to cover up planned shortages, so there are not expected to be reductions of electricity”, the communique said among other things.
