According to nongovernmental organisations, 36 Iranians have lost their lives during the protests.
Majid Tavakoli, who has been constantly arrested in recent years, especially after the controversial 2009 presidential elections, was arrested last night, according to a report by his brother on Twitter.
Another militant member of civil society, Hosseen Ronagi, managed to escape police who came to arrest him at his home while interviewing the London-based Iran International Channel.
In addition, Niloufar Hamed, a journalist from Tehran who had gone to the hospital where Mahsa Ammin was in a coma and contributed to the mobilization of the public opinion of her fate, has also been arrested.
