The judge of the preliminary procedure concludes, for purposes of Mr. Shala, in accordance with Article 4110) of the Law and the 5750nd rule of the Order, that the risks Mr. Shala will escape, prevent the progress of the DPS procedures, or commit further crimes against those perceived as KLA opponents, including witnesses who have offered testimony to the SPS and/or who must be submitted to DPS, continue to exist at”, the decision said.
By the decision, he has also ordered protection that if he wants to forward the letter for the upcoming review of Shala's detention, he will do so no further than October 25th, meanwhile, the prosecution's response should be made no further than November 1st.
Otherwise, Peter Shala was arrested on 16 March 2021 by Belgian authorities and transferred to The Hague on 15 April 2021, on the basis of a request for co-operation in the implementation of the warrant and the command for transfer issued by Kosovo's Specialised Chambers, reports “Justice Vocquet”, Klankosova.tv.
In the confirmed indictment, Shala is charged with individual criminal responsibility in various forms of war crimes as arbitrary bans, cruel treatment, torture and illegal murder committed in the context of the armed conflict in Kosovo and in connection with this conflict.
The “commands that Mr. Shala was carried out approximately between May 17th 1999 and June 5, 1999, against persons who were held in the metal factory in Kukes (Albania), allegedly used by the Kosovo Liberation Army”, it is said in the communique.
