The “Department of Agriculture, Forests and Fisheries) participates with 7% of Bruto Local Production in Kosovo. “Collection and processing of food remains a sector that deserves to be developed further and will bring added value to our country. We see many potentials from companies like Joni- The S.H., which offers natural and bio-fuel products, which are highly required in international markets. This sector employs over 10,000 workers directly, and this number goes to 50,000 when the entire chain is calculated, including farmers offering their basic products. This sector, in general, employs more women, about 62%. So helping this sector is helping women in Kosovo” President Lumir Abdixhiku said during his visit to the JON-SH company, which deals with collecting, processing and producing fine fruit.
Abdixhiku also mentioned that the LDK has a 10-point plan for coping with the electricity crisis.
Kosovo's “Businesses need support, not bureaucracy. The LDK will reduce bureaucracy for businesses so that they can develop without obstacles from the state. Our programme envisions helping those companies that need to achieve the required quality standards that have potential for export. The current government has choked businesses and offered no support for them”, Abdixhiku has said.
