Doctors said the eight-year-old had 75 stab wounds, and although its main organs had escaped the attack, she remains in critical condition.
The child's mother is also in critical condition. It is learned that doctors are awaiting the results of a toxicological report in hopes of discovering the cause of its collapse.
The two were standing on a property that is being used to accommodate Ukrainian refugees who fled their country because of the war, Mirror reports.
