The cancer virus shows promising signs for patients, confessions of healing

A new type of cancer therapy that uses a common virus to infect and destroy harmful cells is showing promising signs of early testing in humans, British scientists claim, writes BBC, records Periscope. One patient's cancer disappeared, while in others, the tumor [...]
One patient's cancer disappeared, while others contracted their tumors.
The medicine is a weakened form of the virus of cold- herpes symplex wounds that have been modified to kill tumors.
Longer and larger studies will be needed, but experts said injections could eventually provide a way of escape for more people who have more developed stage cancer.
Chrysztof Wojkowski, a 39-year-old from London by construction profession, is one of the patients who participated in the first phase of security testing, conducted by the Institute for Cancer Research and the Royal Mardsen NHS Foundation.
In 2017 he was diagnosed with cancer in salivatural glands, near his mouth, and despite surgery and other treatments during that time, his cancer continued to grow.
I was told that no options were left for me and that I was accepting last care. It was devastating, so it was incredible that I was being given the opportunity to join the” testing.
A brief approach to virus therapy -- which is a modified version of herpes virus, which in normal conditions causes cold wounds -- seems to have driven cancer away.
I would take injections every two weeks for five weeks that completely disappear my cancer. I have recovered from cancer now two years”, he said.
Injections, given directly to the tumor, attack cancer in two ways - by entering cancer cells and by causing them to burst and activate the immune system.
About 40 patients have tested the treatment as part of the test. Some were given virus injections called RP2, without medication. Others have taken another cancer drug called nivolumb.
Scores, presented at a medical conference in Paris, says:
Three of nine single patients RP2, including Krysztoff, had cancer contractions
Seven Of the 30 patients who had mixed treatment, it seems that they had benefited from it
Side effectsAs fatigue is, it was generally easy.
The head of the research, Professor Kevin Harrington, told the BBC that the results of the treatment that was seen were the truly impressive “ “over a row of advanced cancers, including stone cancer and a rare eye cancer.
“It is rare to see such good percentages of reaction in early stages of clinical testing, while their primary goal is to test the safety of treatment and they include patients with very advanced cancers for which current treatments are not functioning”, he added.
This is not the first time scientists have used a virus to fight cancer. NHS, the British health system, had approved an asshole who relied on a cold virus for advanced skin cancer.
Dr. Marianne Baker, from the Center for Cancer Research in the United Kingdom, said encouraging findings could change the course of cancer treatment. /Periscopi/
