At the summit among counterparts from the region present will be Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani.
As warned earlier, along with the meeting's host, Slovenian President Borut Pahor , part of this summit are the presidents of Croatia, Montenegro, northern Macedonia, Albania and Serbia, Zoran Milanovic, Milo Djukanovic, Stevo Pendarovski and Bajram Begaj, members of the Bosnian Presidency, Sefik Xhaferovic, Milorad Dodik, and Zeljko Komsic, and Serbian head of state, Aleksandar Vuciq.
Pahor's cabinet announced in early September, when the Slovenian president was visiting Kosovo and Serbia, that the Brdo-Brion Process summit will be an opportunity to review the current situation in the Western Balkans and call on members and institutions of the European Union to accelerate the enlargement process.
The Brdo-Brioni process is a Slovenian-Croatian initiative launched in 2010 by Pahor, then Slovenian prime minister, aimed at strengthening bilateral confidence and regional co-operation and the fastest integration of the Western Balkans into the EU.
