Kosovo Central Bank Governor Fehmi Mehmeti has said that economic growth in Kosovo for 2022 is about 3.7 per cent rather than 4.9 per cent, as Prime Minister Albin Kurti had declared.
Mehmeti, during the report to the Commission for Business and Finance, said that inflation pressure and the decline of purchasing power have done so.
Before MPs, he said the CEC could not have decisions on inflation, as the same is imported.
On the other hand, he indicated that during the past year there were 1.5 billion euros in remittances.
A few days ago, Kurt through a Facebook post said that despite the global health and energy crises, the year we left after we marked economic growth of 10.7%, which is the largest growth in the region.
According to him, in the first quarter of this year, economic growth marked 4.9%.
