The contractor authority has declared the winner of this tender to the American company “satellogic USA” Inc with the competitive dialogue procedure.

Under the Public Procurement Law, this kind of procedure is confidential because the company will not publish the information provided, including technical or commercial secrets and confidential features of membership bids and requirements.

Moreover, this Civil Protection Agency tender is considered a contract in the field of defence and security, so much information is not made public as in cases of other contracts.

From a Euronea Albania research results in the company “satellogic USA” Inc is focused on monitoring the Earth's satellite images aimed at promoting better decision making.

They say they want to help solve emergency problems in the world such as food, energy and how the environment is changing.

All of this requires greater access to satellite images with high resolution and other data said on their official page.

This Civil Protection Agency tender comes at a time when this institution has faced a difficult situation with fires and numerous political charges for its management.

A State High Control report says the Civil Protection Agency is unable to assess these kinds of disasters and lacks human means and resources.
