Agent 007: The special phone Scholz used to talk to Putin

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz used a red phone that sits in his office in Tuesday's telephone conversation with Russia's President Vladimir Putin on the Ukraine issue. This particular device is not a simple phone, as its technology refers to “Agency 007”, James Bond, reports the German newspaper “Bild”. [...]
Chancellor Olaf Solz, 64, posted a photo of his office with a red phone with the following inscription: “Nine minutes on the phone with Putin: Russia must withdraw troops from Ukraine and recognise the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Otherwise, a diplomatic solution is unimaginable”.
The red phone Germany's Chancellor has in his office is a special model, “Sina Komunicator” of the company “Secure”, which is based in Hessen and tops “digital strategy” of the government.
The device weighs 5kg and can broadcast encrypted calls, confidential documents and video calls.
By inserting a particular chip (“Criptoscope”) over the phone, the caller can only make “secret national national phone calls”.
For talks, like the one with the Kremlin, the Social Democrat Chancellor uses another secret phone line. /abcnews. al
