As for the strikes, Gashi said the union deals with the issue.
Our requests have been continuous, but these requirements have usually been forwarded to the union, while we as management have asked that our status be resolved because it was suspended and the Law determines, even though it is flawed”, he told EO.
The 2013 fire service has been suspended. As for the strikes are union steps”, Gashi said.
Compared to last year, Gashi stressed that this year there are 24 fewer interventions, years had 1,426, since 1402 this year.
According to him, the most critical point is personnel because they operate with 87 people and actually need 140.
The fire brigade in Pristina has had 1402 January-August interventions so far. Compared to the year 2021, there were 1,226 that dialed 24 interventions less than 2021. The most critical point in our service in Pristina is personnel”.
“Numr is too small. We have to be 140. But a total of 87 firefighters are nearly half absent. We're short of vehicles because it's only 25. The most critical point is for the staff. We have problems that don't pay holiday hours neither have health insurance these are required for”, he said.
