Albanians were captured in Hartlepool, where they had established a plantation for the growth of cannabis. Police after the raids found 10kg of drugs at Chester Road in January of this year.

They also found a markslist and documents showing how the four-person gang would separate profits from the majority sale of B-class drugs.

David Hewitt, the processor, said the men were discovered hiding in the property bedroom where the drugs were hidden. He said: “Brenda a wardrobe in the bedroom, police found a considerable amount of cannabis, it was stored in the wardrobe and seemed to be guarded for the purposes of the majority purchase”.

Hewitt said drugs were valued between 80,000 and 120,000 at large and about 200,000 pounds on the road.

The court heard how some documents were also found by officers showing how the gang would win 5,900 pounds each by an agreement.

Zenel Tusha, 26, Mirush Tusha, 23, Leo Metushi, 38; and 23-year-old Petrit Tusha, all without specific residence, were found guilty of possession of cannabis on purpose.

Rod Hunt, representing Metush, said his client had surrendered to the cannabis shipment after failing to provide work after arriving in the United Kingdom.

Kate Barnes, representing Petit Tusha, told the court that her client had moved to the northeast only after leaving Sheffield after arriving in the country from behind a truck.

And Stephen Constante, for Zenel Tusha, said his client applied for asylum after he had arrived illegally in the country and also fled Sheffield before ending up in Hartlepool with his brother Petriti. /Abcnews.al/
