17 thousand people sign petition for withdrawing money from Trust

Over 17 thousand people have signed the petition for allowing 30% of pension savings to be withdrawn. After the dismissal of MPs in the assembly, this topic is expected to be opened again. Economists say attracting these vehicles will bring 400m euros in circulation, as those vehicles are losing as a result of global crises. Organiser [...]
The petition organiser for allowing the withdrawal of 30% of pension savings, Adnan Jashari, has told Radio Kosovo that over 17 thousand signatories of this initiative have been verified. He said they are waiting for the assembly to send questions to the government to give its opinion on the bill in question, then move on.
The government has 30 days to provide answers to this legislative initiative, and then it continues with other procedures”, says Jashar.
And we're going to start some symbolic actions to lobby the MPs to move the bill to the convent and vote for it, because as we all know, it's urgent because of the global crisis”.
The Kosovo government has consistently rejected the idea of attracting up to 30% of means from the Pension Trust because, as the government has said, such a thing would undermine the citizens' pension savings.
But Kosovo Alliance of Business Chairman Agim Sahin said the Assembly should adopt the draft law to attract trust savings in order to circulate around 400m euros instead. Otherwise, he said the trust is losing millions of euros as a consequence of the global crisis.
The location will have to adopt that trust bill. The GDP has already warned that we may have development from the trust if we receive about 400m euros in circulation, but we can also lose if it doesn't happen”, Sahin says. “Loss is due to other factors from not managing money and investing them”.
Days ago it was reported that the global crisis has influenced the Trust to lose millions of euros in citizens' savings. According to the Central Bank of Kosovo, the decline in the institution's investments over the January-July 2022 period has reached 161.7m euros. This was made known in a report on Kosovo's financial system published on August 31st, 2022, where it becomes known that the decline in Trust's share value over January-July 2022 is much higher than the new contributions collected in this period.
In the Kosovo country earlier, the bill has not been passed, which allows the withdrawal of 30% of pension savings.
