Ukrainian MP: Kosovo recognition in the hands of President Zelensky

Ukrainian MP Oleksei Gonchanreko has said whether Ukraine will recognise Kosovo or not will be decided by President Zelensky.

He has said Zelensky has a majority in the Ukraine Parliament. But, Gonchanreko in KTV's interactive “” has said that, from discussions he had with MPs, many of them have supported the resolution.

The most important thing is the position of the president because he has a majority in Parliament and they will expect the president's position. It's government business and I can't comment on what they're going to do. I am hoping, because now we have a public debate on this issue in Ukraine, and that is important, because we are a democratic state and in the state a debate is under way, after my presentation, whether it is good for Ukraine to recognise Kosovo.
