Italy's former prime minister in three mandates, Silvio Berlusconi, has confirmed he will run in the next September 25th elections in Italy.
The businessman has indicated to Rai Italy radio that he is making this decision to re-channish following the many demands citizens have made. The centre-right Forza Italy party, led by Berlusconi, helped oust Prime Minister Draghi after withdrawing its support.
The return of Berlusconi's candidacy comes after the punishment he received in 2013 not to run in the general election for 6 years following accusations of tax fraud.
Berlusconi's party is part of the right-wing coalition. This coalition is headed by Italy's post-fascist brothers, head Georgia Melon. The Italian businessman has called for voters to vote on the Forza Italy party for it to become the first force in the coalition and has dismissed rumours that he worries if something like that does not happen.
Berlusconi has voiced confidence that if Georgia Melon's party gets the majority of votes and she becomes prime minister, then she could handle the difficult task. /tvclean
