Prime Minister Edi Rama and Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez are holding the joint conference in the prime minister.
During the conference, Rama reacted for the first time to tensions in northern Kosovo.
He said Kosovo has the right to implement reciprocity agreements and called on the Serbian presidency not to justify the actions of specific groups in northern Kosovo.
“We have spoken about Kosovo, it is known that Spain has a different position for reasons that relate to Spain itself, and it has nothing to do with any discrimination or prejudice against the Albanian community in Kosovo and their right, but we have discussed so much more in the context of a situation that late last night has had a completely unreasonable escalation, as the Kosovo government has the right to implement the agreements by exercising territorial sovereignty that stems from an independence in state administration, and the agreements agreed with the other side are agreement to be implemented. We welcome the 30-day extension of this agreement. I call on authorities in Belgrade not to feed on any kind of excuse or alibi group specific groups in northern Kosovo that, for their reasons, oppose the implementation of a” agreement.Rama said.
