Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Black Sea Fleet commander, who plays a key role in the invasion of Ukraine.
Following the dismissal of Admiral Igor Osipov, the commander has now been appointed Deputy Admiral Viktor Sokolov.
Osipov held the post since 2019.
The change in leadership is interpreted as a clear indication that Russians are losing confidence in their troops following Ukraine's successful attacks on the Crimei bases.
