Pepper pie: 200 tonnes of local software leaving for export to Sweden

During the day, farmer Mehdi Bresilla from the village of Llugagi in the Lipjan municipality is preparing 200 tons of somborca peppers to be exported to the state of Sweden.
Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister Faton Peci was present at this event of Mr. Bresilla, who is also marking her first shipment towards this country. Looking forward to the work and engagement of all, Minister Peci commended them for their work and also said that the export of our local products is marking increases every day, for which we are proud of the work of our farmers who, with their constant zeal, are filling shop shelves across Europe with Kosovo products.
Last year, farmer Mehdi Bresilla through his agricultural activity has only managed to harvest about 170,000kg of peppers. This year, he is convinced that the results of his work will reach 220,000kg, with 50,000kg of this amount exported. In collaboration with the company “Alb Fresh” plans to export another 100,000kg of cabbage, culture which you cultivate as a second culture after wheat harvest.
In addition to the culture of the pepper, which covers 8.5ha and cabbage at 1 ha, it also cultivates 5.2 ha of apples, 9.3 ha of wheat, 8.7 ha of corn, and 2.2 acres [2 ha] ivy (all dedicated to export).
Bresilla employs 7 regular workers and about 40 seasonal workers, contributing to the country's economic development and strengthening of family economies in the area where he lives.
