Annie why on Thursday children in Kosovo have expected to start their schooling, this is not expected to happen.
SBASK Chairman Beftman Jasharaj has said the strike is not expected to stop until union requirements are met. He says losing class hours should be pain for Government not unions.
The “Greva will continue on September 1st and further that it is announced on August 25th, and the strike will be closed only when the requirements not only of the SBASK but other federations that are part of the BSPK are realised. We know that children will lose but that 10 months in a row we've committed ourselves to making solutions, but the Government has not taken any step, and this should have pain in students because we've done everything we can and is now at this government, but that's the possibility that it's low and that we can talk to unions about their demands, and if they have pain for students, let them witness it by sitting down with us and offering us solutions to”, he told the Online Front.
According to Jasaraw, there is no government hope left for realising their demands.
The first SBASK announced the strike is going well and indicated they have visited several towns to see the situation closely.
We don't even have a hope line that will have any agreement or any meeting by Government with trade unions. The strike is going well, we've visited the Year today and we're in Gjilan, we've visited administration workers in the municipality of the Year where we've seen a unity and the strike is at the highest level of organization and so I'm going to continue until we have a choice from the Government and I wish it will be done as soon as you can, says Jasharaj.
Approval of the Law on Rewards, implementation of the Law on Health Insurance, and the completion of the Pension Scheme Law are some of the union requirements.
