U.D., OVL KLA chairman, Faton Klink, has published The letters exchanged with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, on the subject of veterans, who protested twice to get involved in the minimum wage bill.
In a letter published by Klinaku, Prime Minister Kurti has called for drafting a new law that initiates a process of assessment and verification for all participants of the liberation war. While the new process is completed, as additional support Kurti has said could provide support to veteran employment through active labour market measures.
But, in response to the OVL-KLA, the proposal for drafting a new law is considered intervention in the judicial process, which initiates an assessment and verification process for all parts of the liberation war.
The “Organizations derived from the KLA war have not been and are not competent for assessment and verification, but are open for co-operation... We are interested in having KLA war veterans treated with dignity, and it would be good to remove the article barring their employment”, says OVL KLA letter, sent to Kurti.
While the prime minister's proposals were these:
Let's immediately start drafting a new law, which initiates a process of assessment and verification for all participants of the liberation war, with this law we would ensure the release of an exact list of all those who have contributed to the liberation war.
Establishment of the law and the verification process to be carried out as soon as possible.
As the new process is completed, as additional support we can provide support to the employment of veterans through active labour market measures, subsidising part of the salary for a certain period of”.
