Ukraine's Independence Day was marked yesterday, but also six months of Russian invasion of Ukraine, writes The Sun, followed Periscope.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson paid an unprecedented visit to Kiev, saying: “What happens in Ukraine is important to everyone, so that's why I'm here to express the message that the United Kingdom is and will be with you in the coming days and months. You can and will win”, he said.
But Johnson also warned that: “if we are paying the energy bills because of Putin's evils, the people of Ukraine are paying it with blood”.
The supply issues related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine are one reason behind the increase in bills.
The UK also pledged a new package of aid, including weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. /Periscopi/
