Vetevendosje Movement MP Haki Abazi has said there are doubts that union strikes are being used for political agendas. Speaking at RTK, Abazi has said that workers should seek their rights in any instance, but sincere dialogue is needed in this regard.
The unions were not always on their part. Sometimes they made political animations. Now it remains to be seen whether there is political cootation within this strike. It would have to be a lot more favourable to workers, but this has not always been the agenda of unions or institutions in the past”, Abazi has said.
He has said that not often unions have been heard talking about quality work, protection of workers, their conditions, and so on.
We've got workers who died in the workplace and in the public sector and in private, and we haven't had this approach of unions in the past. The pressure trade unions place on this government especially signals that unions can be used for political agenda”, Abazi added.
He has said that educators and all workers deserve much more, even in terms of wages and working conditions, but not necessarily according to him, it translates into political agendas.
If the purpose of any union is to put the Government under pressure for political agenda, we need to find forms to discuss directly with workers”, it has underlined Abazi.
Ahaz has wrongly singled out the threat the Government has made to the strikers.
Unfair “. Absolutely unfair. I don't think anyone who goes on strike has to stop paying”, he said.
