Hajdari's Kurt meets with representatives of the Food Cosmont, who were given 25 acres [25 ha] of land

The company “Compacted Foods” five months ago received Strategic Investors status. That is why the Ministry of Commerce had dozens of other projects on the table, decided to push the company's initiative forward. In this case, the company was given 25 acres [25 ha] of land without compensation. The process was seen as illegal from office, considering the case is for the Prosecutor, and not for the division of land, which Albin Kurti's party was accused of favouring this company, which they say was Vetevendosje's donor.

The Kosovo Assembly on February 8th 2022, with 67 votes to have approved the recommendation of the Interministerial Commission for strategic investments in granting strategic investor status to the company Kosmonte Foods.

Industry, Intervention and Trade Minister Roseta Hajdari had said that through this decision there would be an investment of over 11m euros of the company and employing about 300 people in the medium term 2021-2025. In this case the company has been given 25ha land for 99 years.

By the time the Ministry of Commerce sent the company's name to Government, there were 40 other applications on the table. Even one of the companies that was recommended as investors by the former Avdullah Hoti government had been turned back from the Kurti government.

The land given to the company at the use of “Foods” is owned by the Research Agency located in Fushë Kosovo, and the property was used earlier by the company.

To the company in question, the Question Agency had filed charges for disrespect of the contract, while shortly before the Government voted for Strategic Investors, the Ministry of Agriculture, which is headed by Faton Peci, had withdrawn the indictment from the court. The indictment was made by former government.

The Ministry of Agriculture was not interested in the court's epilogue, wanted the company to be equipped with the Strategic Investors' passport for what state benefits would be.

One company, cannot be recommended for Strategic Investors if there are problems with the law. This is also defined in the Admistic Guide (QKR) 15/2018 For the method and methods of meeting the Criterries for establishing Strategic Investors Status.

At times, it had failed in the Assembly, the government's request to send this project away, as the government most insistly opposed it because of problems with the law.

Beale one of the Parliament's deputies has publicly stated that the company was previously usurped for years as a piece of land, which was later given letters by the Government. He had said that the case is for the prosecutor, not to be given land.

The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, along with Industry, Trade and Trade Minister Roseta Hajdari and Prime Minister's Chief of Staff Luan Dalipi, today met representatives of companies “Corporationd Foods” from Kosovo and “Pertina Ptuj Group” from Slovenia, which are dedicated to investing in the area of breeding birds and producing fresh poultry meat products.

There's a 117-year-old tradition in this sector, employing over 3,700 workers in 7 different countries, there are over 500 fellow workers who grow birds in their natural environments, owns 6 production and exports to 20 countries worldwide. While their partner for Kosovo, “Composte Foods” with 22-year-old tradition, is also their representative for the market of Albania, Germany, Dubai and Qatar.

The Executive Director of “Perutina Ptuj Group”, Enver Sisic, introduced the investment idea with concrete indicators to Prime Minister Kurti and other representatives of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

Prime Minister Kurti welcomed the expression of partner interest by Slovenia and Kosovo to invest in Kosovo and assured investors that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is fully committed to facilitating the environment of doing business and investing in Kosovo. The creditable international companies that bring focus knowledge to quality, security and investigative, with their networks of distribution of products around the world, are welcome to invest in Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti said.

Meanwhile, Minister Hajdari announced the representatives of the companies “Perutina Ptuj Group” and “Compacted Foods” for competing priorities to invest in Kosovo and offered institutional support in realising the interest expressed in investing in our country. / P ERISCOPI/
