On August 9th, Alexander Lukashenko has claimed a convincing victory with 80 percent of the vote.
But then came protests that the Belarusite regime oppressed. Thousands of opposition, critics and acts of civil society, had been ousted by the president who led Belarus since 1994.
“Two years after the presidential elections manipulated in Belarus, in my new blog post, I stress how much I admire the commitment of the Belarusian people to protect fundamental rights and a free, sovereign Belarus”, wrote Borrell in Titter on Tuesday.
Belarus has become Vladimir Putin's main ally in Russia's quest to conquer Ukraine.
Ukraine has even claimed that Belarus has fired missiles.
