Citaku: Kurt won't go dialogue on barricades with Vuciqi

Democratic Party of Kosovo Vice President Vlora Citaku has said that the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue process risks turning to technical dialogue, and as such the main blame should be carried by Serbia and in no way Kosovo, Online Economy reports. Speaking of the meeting, which Kurti will have in Brussels, the former Kosovo diplomat says the Government should negotiate the final agreement with mutual recognition, of no account for “barrica and stipulation”.
Citaku says the Serbian president wants to stay the current situation in the Balkans and in dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
I expect the prime minister not to go to Brussels to negotiate the barricades and negotiate the stickers, I expect the prime minister to go to Brussels and talk about a comprehensive agreement with mutual recognition in the centre. We dare not agree to anything without agreeing. The prime minister should be attentive, we dare not fall into Vuciki's trap, because he is subject to status-quoia, the outcome of the process and for us to discuss technical issues in Brussels. We should have our offer, to co-ordinate ourselves closely with our partners because it is not our duty to ensure security in Belgrade, but to do our part of the job, to be consistent and to co-ordinated with our allies”, says Citaku.
Speaking of the war in Ukraine, Citaku says Kosovo has failed to empower international subjectivity. He says instead, institutions continue to stick.
The geopolitical context created following Russia's unprofessed aggression in Ukraine has created a golden opportunity for Kosovo to further empower its international subjectivity, seeking first of all the unity of the European Union towards Kosovo and the Western Balkans. Unfortunately, instead of using this moment created by circumstances entirely beyond us to push a comprehensive deal with mutual recognition at the center, we deal with sticker”, she said.
Speaking of the lack of liberalisation for Kosovars, the PDK deputy chairman, says Kosovo has long met all criteria. The blame for this, says they have current heads of state who, while in opposition, opposed Demarcation with Montenegro.
“I think Kosovo has long fulfilled all criteria for visa liberalisation. Kosovo that world has been imposed double the criteria more than other Western Balkan countries. Because of some political acts in Kosovo, which many of them are in government today, we have had a breakthrough for the adoption of demarcation with Montenegro, and if the demarcation were voted then, Kosovo would now move without visas because we were in the same package as Ukraine and Georgia. Whatever the case, the European Union has no excuse to postpone this process further”, Citaku said.
