China launched 16 new satellites, including satellites Yildi-1 Gaofen 03D09 and Yunyao-1 04-08, in orbit from the Taiyuan satellite launch center in the province of Chanxi in northern China on Wednesday.
The satellites were launched at 12:50 in Beijing on top of a Long March-6 Y10 track and successfully entered the planned orbit, the AP writes.
These satellites are used mainly in areas such as remote commercial sensors and atmospheric images.
