As the AP follows, many locals fear that the failure of these political talks, aimed at resolving the 20-year stalemate between Serbia and Kosovo, could lead to a form of local conflict between Albanians and Serbs.
Josep Borrell, the EU's high representative for foreign affairs, announced after the meeting that no “agreement was reached” between Kosovo and Serbia.
It is reported Thursday that Kurti and Vuciq have agreed to negotiate once a month.
We remember that tensions between Serbia and Kosovo rose late last month when the government Kurti declared that Serbian identity documents and vehicle plates would no longer be valid on Kosovo territory.
Serbia has implemented the same measures for Kosovo citizens who spend in Serbia over the past 10 years, saying that if it recognises Kosovo's license plates and registration documents, it would say it recognises Kosovo as an independent state.
