The fire has destroyed at least 7 per cent hectares in the Aveyron region since it erupted on Monday, distributed by strong winds, Euronews writes, broadcasts Klan Kosova.
Thousands of residents and vacationers have been forced to leave their homes and camps, but thus far are not reported to hurt.
The fire is believed to have begun in the nearby Lozer region before spreading west.
Firefighters say they've lit <x0 tactical fires” to burn vegetation and prevent further advance flames.
Investigators believe that a metal piece of the tractor machine set the earth nearby when it crashed for a hot road, thus creating sparks.
The tractor farmer called for emergency services himself after trying to extinguish the flames with his water reservoir.
